Markham Whole-Home Wall Panel Renovation: Bathrooms, Kitchen, TV Wall, Fireplace & Hallway

Markham Whole-Home Wall Panel Renovation: Bathrooms, Kitchen, TV Wall, Fireplace & Hallway

This Markham project is a great example of how wall panels can upgrade an entire home with a clean, modern look—without the heavy mess of traditional tile work. In this one home, we used large-format wall panels, waterproof shower panels, and slat accents across multiple spaces: bathrooms, kitchen, TV wall / fireplace area, and the hallway.

Project Goals

  • Keep the style consistent across the whole home (same tones, same clean lines).
  • Make bathrooms easy to maintain with a grout-free look for wet areas.
  • Add depth and lighting using slat/fluted accents—without making rooms feel busy.
  • Use large panels to reduce seams and speed up installation.

Materials Used in This Markham Home

Here are the exact products used in the project:

Richvaugh marble white 2 small panels, wall cladding for modern bathroom accent walls in Toronto, ON.Bathrooms: Grout-Free Look + Easy Maintenance

In the bathrooms, the goal was simple: a modern, upscale look that stays easy to clean. For wet zones and shower wall areas, we used Marble White 2 to get a bright marble look without grout lines.

For the main wall surfaces, the gray large panels created a clean “slab-like” style with fewer seams. Then we added a vertical slat accent to bring texture and lighting into the space—especially around vanities and corners.

Why this combination works

  • Bright + dark contrast: Marble white for the wet area, concrete gray for the walls, warm slat detail to soften the look.
  • Less visual clutter: Large panels keep lines clean—perfect for modern bathrooms.
  • Designer detail: A slim slat strip (with lighting) makes the space feel custom.

Kitchen: Modern Lines + Fluted Detail

In the kitchen area, the fluted/slat detail was used as a strong design feature—especially on high-visibility surfaces like island fronts or feature sections. This is where Sandal Wood slat panels shine: they add texture without making the space feel heavy.

  • Best pairing: warm slat + matte black cabinets/fixtures + soft warm LED.
  • Result: modern, clean, and still cozy.

TV Wall & Fireplace Area: Clean Background, Strong Focus

For the living area feature wall, the key was to keep the background clean so the TV and fireplace become the focus. Concrete-gray large panels are a popular choice here because they look modern, photograph well, and match black hardware and warm lighting.

If you want a similar look, start with a large-format gray panel like Stone Gray 2 or Bulk Gray, then add a slat/fluted accent strip to introduce depth.

Hallways are often overlooked, but they’re one of the best places for wall panels. In this Markham home, the hallway feature wall uses large gray panels as the base, then adds a vertical slat strip with lighting to guide the eye.

  • Fast visual impact: One feature wall can change the feel of the whole home.
  • Great for resale: It looks custom and intentional—especially in listing photos.

Quick Specs (from product pages)

FAQ

Are wall panels good for bathrooms and shower walls?

Yes—when you use waterproof-rated bathroom/shower wall panels and install them properly (flat substrate + correct sealing). For this project we used Marble White 2 in wet areas to get a grout-free marble look.

Why use 4x10 large wall panels?

Large panels reduce seams, look more “slab-like,” and usually install faster on big wall surfaces—great for hallways, feature walls, and modern bathrooms.

Can I add LED lighting with slat panels?

Yes. Slat accents are commonly paired with LED channels or hidden lighting details to create a clean vertical glow.

Do you supply and install in Markham and the GTA?

Yes. If you share your wall sizes and city, we can help estimate materials and recommend the best trims and joint system for your space.
